Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
How do I get an ACD for open alcohol container violation at 1 centre street, new york? I hear it's nearly impossible. What can I do? Please help.

Your information is correct and your timing is not so good. As of this week the NYC Police dept will no longer be issuing criminal tickets for this violation. They will be civil tickets instead. For all prior tickets returnable to criminal court they are mostly resolved with a very minimal fine. Most Judges do not offer ACD's There are however instances when the charges are outright dismissed. This occurs when the allegations do not constitute a prima facie case.
