What are the ramifications of accepting an ACOD?

so long as you do not get rearrested within the required time frame, 6 months on most cases and one yera on some,.. then the case will be dismissed and sealed with no problems for you what so ever... if you are rearrested during that time then the case may be reopened and prosecution continue against you in that case.
Overall, there are no negatives - this is the courts way of showing willingness to dismiss a case but not do so immediately
