Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Acod
Does it go on your record

Re: Acod
The case goes down as a dismissal, as if the arrest never happened according to the law. That however is not the end of the line, an ACD does not erase the fingerprints from FBI files. You have to make a special motion for that.
If you have other questions concerning CPL Sec. 170.55 or 56, You can give me a call or follow the links below.
Good Luck
Re: Acod
If your asking about an ACD (Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal) then it will stay on your record for the length of the ACD (either six months or one year). After that time period has passed it is supposed to be deleted from your record. An ACD is not a criminal conviction. Please feel free to contact my office if you require additional information.
