Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Addressee of box deemed "suspicious" goes to post office to claim. Presents ID and post master requests that box is opened in front of him. Addressee refuses because he is made to feel uncomfortable. Is addressee liable for contents of box?

That would all depend on who sent the material into the box. Ultimately the sender might be responsible. There are really not enough facts in this hypothetical to give a clear answer.
