Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
If someone admits to a past crime to the victim of the crime in front of a witness can that person still be arestted.

This is way too vague-there are Statute of Limitations issues (also affected by age of the vic in some cases), witness issues, reality of the DA's office and so much more, not to mention the law(s) itself.
