Its a Class A misdemeanor. Assuming you have no record, the DA will likely ask for restitution and/or community service. More likely than not, a non-criminal plea can be worked out assuming you do not want to go to trial. I suggest you retain a good criminal defense attorney. If it is in the fourth degree then the max would be one year in jail, although it may be possible to work out plea deals without any jail time or criminal record. The plea offer will be based on a variety of factors including your prior criminal history, if any, the nature of the property damaged and the amount of damage caused. If you have an attorney worth their weight you will in all likelihood be able to avoid having any blemish on your criminal record as a result of this incident, thats is if your record is clean already. This should be your primary concern.
