Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Alright.. so I messed up with my best friend. (Some back ground info) He is on a suboxune program and we had a few xanax and lortabs in the car. I know were wrong for this. Just wondering what we should do. The police officer never asked to search our car, he searched both of us, found nothing. then searched the car. He said my friend made a wide turn, thought he might have been drunk because his eyes. My friend replied, I have istagmis (eyes shake) they searched the car.. arrested us both, now we go to court... Do we plead guilty at the da? not guilty, whats the best way to go? Honestly I am doing my best to stay clean, just joined a charity clinic since i have no insurance, and they are helping me get through my -mental illness- of depression/anxiety
