Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Appeals
I was convicted of a crime (Robbery) back in 1996 in the State of New York. I appealed my conviction at the appellate level. I received my decesion back in 1999, and my appeal was denied. My question is, can I still pursue my appeal to a higher court after all of this time? I requested a trial by jury and was found guilty.

Re: Appeals
You needed to file your appeal of the decision within 30 days. It's probably too late, unless you can come up with a very good excuse (like an 8-year coma).
You say you "requested a trial by jury" but you don't say whether you actually HAD a jury trial. Were you found guilty by a judge or a jury?
