Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I have a appearance ticket for 2nd degree harassment charge against my mother. I was removed from the apartment we lived in, both our names were on the lease. I believe she's going to drop the charges, what are the ways that she can do so? Do I need a laywer for the first date?

I assume she has an Order of Protection against you. If she fails to cooperate with the prosecution they may drop charges but you cannot contact her. Go to court alone for the first appearance.

If you can afford one, I would suggest retaining an attorney at all stages of the proceeding. You may contact my office @ 7188340087 for a consultation.
