Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I was just arrested for petit larceny with a value of $148.60 stolen items. I am leaving for Bahamas next week for a few days and was wondering if I'm allowed to go considering I have court September 17th 2010. I am so ashamed to even have this arrest, I have a clean record and am 20years old.

Unless the Court placed travel restrictions on you (and I doubt that happend), you can go on the trip - just don't miss your court date. I am a former federal and State prosecutor and can help you resolve this case in a way that will not leave you with a criminal record. I will also help you deal with the store's demand that you pay a civil fine that will come in the mail. Feel free to check out my web site and contact me. I have handled many cases like yours.
No problem. As long as you show up for court you are okay.
