Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
arrested for resisting arrest ,disorderly conduct and wreckless endagerment
Was pulled over by and unidentifiable vehicle, and proceeded to drive to a safer location. The police never identified themselves as officers at the scene, removed me from vehicle and arrested me for the above mentioned subject. Q- When a person is confronted by a law officer(s) who failed to identify themselves at the time of approaching a civilian in a vehicle, what are the civilian's rights at that time and what rights does a person have after an arrest has been made to rightfully contest the charges?

Re: arrested for resisting arrest ,disorderly conduct and wreckless endagerment
There are other factors to consider such as whether or not the plice were in uniform, or whether they identified themselves at any time, what the original cause for pulling you over was, was there a siren used... all ofthese factors are potential reasons why you could beat your case at the trial level, or use as leverage to get a very favorable offer in a situation like this - depending on the underlying crime of course.
