Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
If I have been arrested in New York State for larceny but have not gone to court yet. Can the charges be dropped if me and my employer come to an agreement outside of court.

Its not that easy. If you make a deal with your employer, he can recommend that charges be dropped, but it is up to the DA and he does not have to drop them
It would definitely help if they dropped the charges but as Mr. Bark mentions, the DA can still decide to pursue the case. If they do, it seems unlikely that you shoudl expect jail time, but it would be highly recommended to have an experienced lawyer with you defending you and preserving your rights in court. It would also greatly increase the chance of lowering the charges or possible dismissal. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases and reasonable fees, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination.
