Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Asked question recently in re: of a friend of mines who is going back n forth to court with a gun charge. Well come to find out this guy who he had an arguement with that told the cops that he (friend) pulled a gun on him and the gun jammed ...just so happens to be a convicted felon,,, has been in jail... has a record an arm long and is currently going to court (ironically seeing the same judge) for another case! I am not understanding why my friend case is still going and on and not dropped.. his lawyer says its because he places himself at the scene agreeing that he argued with this guy.... should he persue another lawyer.. this one doesn't seem to be helping him out (in my opinion).. I think the next time he goes to court its gonna be either take the 2 years or go to trial...

If your friend is not happy with his lawyer, he is always free to get another one. If you need a referral, contact me and I'll give you the info for a very good criminal lawyer who is not expensive.
From your area code I see you are from Brooklyn. In Brooklyn courts your friend has a good shot of winning.
