Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Assault
I was assaulted by my ex-girlfriend over the summer and received a black eye. I do not remember the exact date. Can I still file assault charges against her now? She has a criminal record, she once assaulted her husband, she cut him with a knife, she was convicted and spent time in jail.
