Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

assault 3rd dregee 120.00

Hi my husband was charged with assault 120.00. He was intoxicated at the time and so were the people who filed a complaint on him. They were into mind and his buisness and started threatening him. b4 he could walk out he got attacked my two females. He was defending himself. would he have a criminal record. no history or record in the oast.

If convicted of Assault in the third degree he would have a criminal record. These charges are serious and he could get a year in jail for them even without a record. He should have a lawyer. If you cannot afford one ask the court to appoint you one. If the court refuses, contact the NYS Defender's Association in Albany. They will help you if they can.
