Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Attempting to have a public servant fired

Last year ex-girlfriend lied to police and court, had a restraining order served on me (this because I called her dr. about her use of prescr drugs that could have been harmful to our unborn baby...thank God O.K.) She got angry at me that I challenged the order (which I eventually was able to prove it was nonsense, her accusations all lies), but prior to that, she called police, said I violated the order, I was arrested before being able to show it was a lie. Arrested at my job, letter carrier, USPS. Charge against me was ''going through her mailbox''. I had proof the charge was a lie (was 20 miles away, could prove it). Do I have any recourse against those who 1. filed charges against me, and 2. placed a warrant out for my arrest based simply on an accusation. Seems to me my 4 amend rights have been violated, and my job was threatened. It's not right.

Re: Attempting to have a public servant fired

there exists a claim which could be made for improper use of process, meaning that there was a case filed against you with no actual merit. You could potentially have both criminal and civil recourses against her. Feel free to contact my office for further assistance #2127098303
