Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Do I need an Attorney?
I got a ticket for reckless driving. I have to appear in person to enter a plea. I plan on pleading not guilty. I assume a court date will then be set.
Question 1) Do I need an attorney present when I plea or at the ''trial''. I really can't afford one right now.
Question 2) I have already purchased plane tickets to travel out of state in a couple of weeks. Can I request a trial date that doesn't fall into the time I'll be gone?
Thank you.

You can plead not guilty with or without an attorney. You can also request a trial date that would accomodate the scheduales of both yourself and the P.D.I would be happy to have a free phone consultation with you ,please call my office @7188340087.
