how can i avoid jail time for not completing my community service due to family issues because i want to get another chance so i can work because i have a warrant

you probably have to surrender on the warrant and tke your chances. Try to document your family issues

You certainly need to take care of the warrant first. You will probably have a better luck at a second chance if you voluntarily surrender rather than getting picked up by the police. Try to bring proof to support your excuse and the judge may very well be lenient.
