Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I just got back from court at 346 Broadway. I was given a $50 fine for urinating in public. Is this going to appear on my record? Do I need to report this to law schools? Where can I find information about my criminal record? I have no previous criminal history and I want to make sure that my record is still clean. Thanks for any and all information.

If you plead guilty to the misdemeanor charge the answer is yes ,you have a criminal record. If you plead guilty to the reduced violation the answer is no you will not have a criminal record. Since you did not retain counsel only you and/or the public defender can accurately answer the question. You should go back to the court and get a certificate of disposition. That will answer your question.
