Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

background check and fingerprints

I was fingerprinted 27 yrs ago. The

charges were dropped, never had to

go court. Since the I have never

even had a parking ticket. I work in

child care a this shows up on my

record.

Can I have it removed it is

embarassing

and prevents me from getting a job.

This happened 27 yrs ago while I

was in college. I was with someone

else and they were driving. He went

to court and paid a fine. I did not

have to go court.

Re: background check and fingerprints

You should see an attorney who can help clear the records. It can cost some money but it is clearly worth it for so many reasons.

Their needs to be motions to close the file. Further someone needs to check with both the DA and OCA to see that the file becomes sealed.

My office handles that type of stuff. Please follow the links below if you would like my help.

Good Luck
