Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Having bail revoked
I posted bail for a person in Staten Island New York. The charges were petty larceny 155.25,165.40. The bail amount was $500.00 cash. How do I go go about having the bail revoked ? I am positive the person is not going to appear in court, because the person is abusing drugs and also has many prior arrests and has done jail time for the same crime. The person has to appear in court ten days from today, and I would like to have the bail revoked.
Thank you

Re: Having bail revoked
That's not your decision to make. By posting bail for this person you took the risk of forfeiting the bail if this person failed to show.
