Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Bail
I wanted some clarification on if I sign to bail a person out of jail an put money down. Am I leaglly responsible for them if they jump bail? Are the police allowed to come look for me and search my home?
Please help thanks!

If the person you post bail for fails to return to court you will lose whatever asset or money you put up to get him or her out of jail.
The police are only likely to come to your home if they believe that you are allowing him or her to stay there while they are looking for him or her.
