Bench Warrant

Hi..I was arrested on a warrant that was sort of faulty, It was for not appearing in court on the 29th, however I was in court..I was wondering if they are allowed to do that..pick me up on a bench warrant that doesn't hold any meaning

I would need more information to answer your question. Usually if you are picked up for failure to appear all that happens is you are brought back before the Court and then you can explain what happened to your lawyer who will convey it to the judge. It is quite common for someone to have been in Court at some point during the day, but missed their case being called. In some cases if you had failed to appear for a longer amount of time the prosecutor may charge you with bail jumping. Please feel free to contact my office if we can be of any assistance.
