Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Bench Warrent
I am curious to see if there is anything I can do to ensure that somebody with a bench warrant is arrested. My daughter has disappeared with a career criminal who failed to show up for his last court date, and a bench warrant has been issued. He will also be charged with bail jumping because the court date was over a month ago.
I know where this guy hangs out during the day. If I go and tell the cops where this guy is, do they have a responsibility to pick him up? Please advise.

no they have no obligation . i wouldnt get involved if i were you. having him arrested wont make your daughter come home if she is with him willingly. not a good strategy in my opinion.
