Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My boyfriend just came home from jail and had 2years parole. He was violated for not answering the door so they gave him curfew violation. I was looking and wanted to know if there was a law passed in Jan of this year about curfew violation. I think they are being very hard on him, because in his past he had a sex case and he still has to register. Since he has been home he has done everything they have asked, including outpatient drug rehab, even though he doesnt do any drugs, going to college and making all meetings. His mother is 75 years old, and he goes and takes care of her also. I am trying to find out if they can send him away for a year, or if he should be able to be let go.

Remember, when your are on parole you are still under the control of the department of corrections. You do not have the same rights.
