If someone is charged for burglary of a residence in New York City, but the property address in the court document is incorrect, does this have any effect on the case, if so what is the result?

Re: Burglary

It can have an effect, but it depends on a number of factors. First was the mistake a typo? If so it can be amended. Did an attorney file a bill of particulars? If so, did it correct the error? There are more issues than these.

The charge you speak of is very serious. It is unlikely to result in a dismissal because there was an error in paper work. You need to let a qualified lawyer with a strong background in criminal law look at the case.
