Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My car was vandalized at my place of employment. Security cameras are there but i was told i will not be able to see the surveillance images, the police have seen these. Apparently the cameras only show people near or walking by my car not actually doing the damage. i told the police i need to see them to tell them if i see someone of concern like a person who may have engaged me in a hostile manner or someone who does not work there.

I'm not sure what your actual question is. If you are asking do the police have to allow you to see these videos, no they do not.
