Caught for shopliftng

Hi,

I am an Indian. I have come to NY for my training on B1 visa. My problem is that i have been caught for shoplifting in Century 21 mall, and was sent to the police station where i was fingerprinted and my photographs were taken. I also have to appear in the court in a week's time. After going back to india in july, i am getting married in december to a guy who works in US, and hence i will have to apply for my H1/ H4 visa. I wanted to know if this shameful offence of mine will have any consequences on my visa. i dnt want anyone in my family to know about it else it may call for a broken engagement. i am in a very big trouble, please help me as soon as you can. Also i dnt have enough money to hire any lawyer here. I have no criminal records till date, i am a non smoker, non drinker, educated girl and works for a good company for last 2.5 yrs. Pease please help me..
