Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I got caught smoking a bowl in central park, and also had a small amount of marijuana on me. I have been arrested before 6 years ago in PA for drug related charges. I completed the ARD program there and my record got expunged. The summons i just recieved the other day has a top offense of 221.10, is there a chance i can get ACD or the charge bumped down to 221.05 (just a violation?) Do I need a lawer to do so? If so how do I go about finding a public defender since i dont really have any money. Thanks for your time, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Most likely you will receive an ACD or a violation. When you go to court the first time ask the court to appoint a lawyer.
