If it is your first date in court since your arraignment then nothing will usually happen. Sometimes, if you have an attorney present, the DA will make an offer or will turn over documentation to the defense but not in most cases.

You should be talking to your attorney at this point but be advised that nothing of any serious consequence will most likely happen on the first appearance.

You should not expect jail time at the next court appearance, but it would be highly recommended to have an experienced lawyer with you defending you and preserving your rights in court. It would also greatly increase the chance of lowering the charges or possible dismissal. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases and reasonable fees, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination.
