Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Class A or B Misdemeanor?
I have been charged with Petit Larceny which is listed as a class B misdemeanor on the arraignment papers. What is the difference between class A and class B in NY and what kind of penalties are involved?

Re: Class A or B Misdemeanor?
The basic difference is the potential jail time and a class "a" misdemeanor allows for a jury trial whereas a class "b" misdemeanor allows only for a judge trial. If you would like to discuss this further you may call my office @718-834-0087 for a free phone consultation.
