Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
concurent sentencing
I have two different cases in which I was sentenced for one January 11th and the second one was February 28th. both of the cases ran concurrent with each other, now my question is if they ran concurrent does that mean they both finish on the same day?

Re: concurent sentencing
No concurrent does not mean they finish at the same time. The judge would have to say "coterminus".

Re: concurent sentencing
Not necessarily. It means they run at the same time.
So if you got 6 months for one crime and 3 months for the other, the three months would coincide within the 6 month sentence.
