consentual sex with 18 yr old and 14 year old

my brother had sex wit a 14 year old girl he was 18 at the time. the girl got pregnant and when it went to court he asked for paternity she refused and closed the case. 9 months later she is threatening to put him in jail if he doesnt give her money without going to court.. is there a time limit in which she could press charges? or could he press some for being threatened?

I'm not sure what you mean by the case went to court. Was your brother arrested and charged with a crime? If your brother has not been arrested at this point it is still possible this girl could go to the police and file a report and he may be arrested and charges with a felony. I would recommend your brother speak with a criminal defense attorney and not talk about this case with anyone other than his attorney. If he had sex with her when she was 14 and he was 18, he can be charged with Rape in the second degree a class D non violent felony. It carries a potential of 7 years in prison.
