If victim in new york state does not show for trial in a rape case, will the defendant still will have to go to trial and what is the consequence for the victim not showing up for trial?

If the in-court testimony of the victim is necessary for a conviction, then the case will be dismissed and the defendant protected from further prosecution by the 'double jeopardy' rule.
