Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I was convicted of second degree attemped robbery january 06 in NYS. Does NYS do expungements? I was not a minor when i committe the offense. I have already obtained a certificate of relief.

New York does not presently have an expungement law; however, under N.Y. Law a past criminal conviction cannot be to sole basis for denying employment that is not rationally related to the underlying conviction.
