Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I was convicted of a Federal mail fraud crime and were given some community service hours (I completed) and 3 years of probation period and required to pay restitution. My probation period will end soon but restitution debt is not. How the case will proceed once probation period is over? Will judge extend the probation until I paid my restitution in full? I have no probation/legal violation or conditions since this case. Thank you.

Absent any violation of probation, the Judge cannot extend your sentence. What happens is the US Attorney's collection section will pursue the debt.
s attorney's collection
Generally in such situation probation would end but you would continue to be given court dates regarding compliance as to your restitution.
