Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

i had a court date dec.17th 2009 in which i plead not guilty to trespassing so now i have a court date feb.10th 2010 but in order to start my new job i have to show the results of that case so i want to know is it possible for me to just pay the fine that the d.a. offered me before my next court appearance?

Normally, you would have to advance the case and place it on the Judge's calendar before any disposition can be reached. Also, be aware that trespassing is either a misdemeanor or a violation. A plea to these charges, have consequences associated with them. Check with your employer and a lawyer ,if you deem it necessary, to make sure there are no collateral consequences of the plea which would affect your personal situation.
