Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

CPCS 7th degree 220.03

I was arrested for - CPCS 7th Degree 220.03.

I stopped at a friends house for ten minutes. When I left a car pulled behind me & as I turned off his block I was pulled over. The officers pulled me out of my van & started searching my van saying they new I bought Crack. I told them I didn't buy anything. They continued to search my veichle and my person. I told them I had one Vicoden pill & one Oxycontin pill in my cup holder in plain site. The officer took both pills, I explained that I had a prescription for the vicoden and the oxycontin was given to me by my friend because I have a damaged leg from an attack where I have a metal plate and screws. They continued to search and found nothing. I was not ''high'' I had commited no driving violations. They said they new I was up to no good and if I didnt give them anything incriminating on the guy who I had visited they would arrest me & sieze my work vehicle/tools. They said if I complied with them and helped them ''get'' the other guy for something they would not arrest me. They made me call him & ask to buy drugs, he said no he didnt have drugs. They put me in the car and told me to just say I smoked $20 worth of crack & they would not seize my van. So I signed to that. Now whatcanIdo

Re: CPCS 7th degree 220.03

Now you can do what you should have done from the start... ignore the threats and call a good... a very good criminal lawyer. Don't wait. Yes you are charged with a misdemeanor but it can cost you your drivers licence.

For future reference after giving your name and address demand to speak to a lawyer. Do not pay any attention to what they say they will do. They will probably do it anyway, and a good lawyer can always get it undone.

If you wish to speak to me about your case you may contact me through the links below.

Good luck.

What you can do is fight these charges. You did a bad thing by signing a false confession; now you should not compound the problem by pleading guilty to something you didn't do.
