Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Crime in New York
A friend of mine was falsely arrested because an ex relative reported that he pulled a knife on her when he did not. After going back and forth to court, he finally agreed to pleading guilty because they said the records would be sealed. Does that mean that if an employer ran a background check, it would not show up?

Not necessarily, for several reasons. But it depends on more specific facts of the case.
