Criminal assault

My 16 year old daugther was at her boyfriends house, when this kid named Michael Wack came to the house and forced his way into the house. he beat up one of the kids that was in the house and continued to yell at my daugther and her friend. He got got in my dauther's face, she not knowing what he was about to do, she reached for a kicthen knife and cut the boy on the back of his neck. The cops came and picked her up today, can they try her as an adult?

Yes, she could be treated as an adult... however, this would be deterned by many factors.

In such a case there are many potential defenses, i owuld highly suggest that you contact an attorney as soon as possible in order to avoid that your daughter serves any more time than the bare minimu necessary to get her in front of the judge for the arraignment, and that her case ends in a way fovorable for her and would have no negative ramifications for the rest of her life, if you can afford to do so that is.
