Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Criminal Fraud

I bought a van about a year ago. I had the upper and lower ball joints replaced at the time of my ny state inspection. About 2 weeks ago i brought the van to a ford dealer to have a recall taken care of. I asked the dealer to do a front end allignment. They told me they couldn't do the work because i needed upper and lower ball joints. I took my van to a good local mechanic, he did the front end allignment and confirmed that the ball joints are just fine. my questions are; Did the dealership break the law, and what can I do to get them in trouble. I'm not trying to sue any one, I would like to teach them a lesson and make an example of them. Its obvious they were trying to generate income. I've heard rumors that service managers are given bonuses for any extra work performed on vehicles that are brought in to have work done. Help me stop these scum bags and their ways of screwing the public. Thank You.

Re: Criminal Fraud

Contact the Consumer Fraud bureau of the NY STate Attorney General and the DMV too. If they lose their inspection right that will kill a large part of their income.

You might want to change dealerships or even brands of car after that however.

Good Luck.
