There are many circumstances under which a statement or confession may be ruled inadmissible.

This is not a question that can be answered in a computer message; I have at least a half dozen books that are entirely devoted to the subject.

Judges are generally very reluctant to throw evidence out of court - so any motions to suppress or preclude must be prepared carefully.
