Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

my husband pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct (resisted arrest,drinking in public, and accused of assault on an officer) He is a legal resident. he was sentenced to 5 days in jail and 95 dollars bail. how will this appear or his record and for how long and being a resident only how does his immigaration status peril? thankyou

It is a very unusual sentence for a Disorderly Conduct your husband was royally screwed. Pardon my French. Any criminal conviction may possibly, although not necessarily, bring about negative immigration consequences that might affect your husband's status up to being removed/deported. Disorderly Conduct (240.20) is not a crime and there is no criminal record associated with taking a plea to such a charge, as such there should be no mmigration ramifications what so ever
