Criminal possesion of stolen property

When i went up to Albany i accidently took a girls driver license and she is now pressing felony charges on me. I didnt know i had it till i came back to my hometown and it fell out of my walent when a cop found it. I had all intentions of giving it back as i am gong back to albany this weekend but me and this girl have had past problems and i think she is really going to go through with felony charges. I didnt mean to take the id i thought it was mine when i went back to the apt.
