can you get your criminal record seal if you were 18 for ajob

Whether or not a record can be sealed depends on both the law at the time of conviction and any changes since then which would now allow sealing for the same offense when it did not at the time of conviction. Other than that you would have to try to show the attorney was ineffective in some way, perhaps by not requesting Youthful Offender treatment, which would automatically seal the record.
