My brother was arrested and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree and possession of narcotics. This happened in NYS and he was convicted of a similar crime 8 yrs ago. He went to jail for 1 yr at that time. What will his punishment be?

Generally the da's office seeks increasing punishment on similar
Charges. So he would be looking at closer to two or three years
With the prior.
I would suggest hiring an attorney if possible. Feel free to contact

Your brother really needs to retain an attorney to help get him the best possible outcome. We can provide representation at a very reasonable cost.

Your brother would be considered a predicate felon, therefore I believe he faces at least 2-3 years in jail if convicted. I suggest retaining the best possible criminal defense attorney. Consider if he gets 5 years with a non experienced attorney ,but could get 3 years with a competent attorney, he loses possible income for 2 years. What is that worth? Don't be penny wise dollar foolish. Contact my office @7188340087 for a consultation.

It would be highly reccomended to retain an experienced attorney to defend him and preserve his rights in court. Also will likely lead to a much better deal. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.
