Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
dea/state police take military ID
During a search the dea/state police took my military ID card (retired), my mail (unopened and open). I was not arrested nor idicted. My husbands lawyer has requested my military id be returned twice and so far it has not been returned. The importance is that I cannot receive medical care nor can my child without my id card. Additionally, I have no idea what mail is that was taken since it was not returned either. Since the government won't charge me I can't get a lawyer appointed and can't get any assistance because I have a military pension. Catch 22???
