A death threat from ex-wife's boyfriend

I need an advice what to do and where to report a threat from ex-wife's boyfriend.

I live in NY and my 12-year old son lives in FL, in the same household with his mother and her boyfriend. During the most recent phone attempt to resolve the chronic difficulties in reaching my son, in which both the child's mother and her boyfriend take active and aggressive role, I was threatened and cursed by her boyfriend while my son was in his presence. The threat was that a terrible thing would happen to me if I ever show up in front of him (the boyfriend), or if I ever (again) expose his name in an e-mail sent to the child's mother.

The mother travels a lot and my son is for days left alone with her boyfriend (and too often outside of my reach). The situation is complicated by the fact that their relationship is secretive - the boyfriend is a regional FL manager for a large company, while the ex-wife is his immediate superior, the very person who had put him into the position.

I consider the threat realistic, because he (and she) may lose everything. And, considering the latest FL gun law, he could legally shot me if I show up in FL, and claim his fear and self-defense afterwards. Needles to say I also fear for my son's safety.
