self defense in club
if you are a bouncer and several patrons throw a punch at you, is punching them back considered self defense?

Yes as long as the aren't a bunch of 90 pound High school girls and you aren't a 240 pound former heavy weight champion.
You are permitted to defend yourself but you cannot use more force than you are confronted with.
