Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Self Defense
If a minor under 18 (but not younger than 17) is in the process of Robbing you hits you first do you have the right to hit back or would that be considered because I had this experince last night and this guy was threatening to punch me and told me if I hit him back because he was under 18 it would be abuse so i was wondering if he hit me would it be legal to defend myself

Re: Self Defense
If you are the victim of a violent crime and you use appropriate physical force to defend yourself, that's self-defense. Just be aware of the word APPROPRIATE.
